This is what emerges from a new study conducted by researchers from Washington State University and published onInternational Journal of Obesity. The secret against obesity present in berries and red wine is the resveratrol.

Researchers now think that consuming berries on a regular basis can help with weight loss, particularly in the loss of excess fat. In their experiments they used a quantity of berries equal to about 340 grams per day, with reference to consumption by adults.

The studies conducted so far will have to be confirmed, in particular with regard to weight loss effects on humans, but it appears that the reservatrol may be capable of convert excess white fat into brown fat con the goal of containing weight gain. This mechanism could prevent obesity and metabolic dysfunctions.

Not only do berries contain resveratrol. In fact, this antioxidant is also present in Red wine, but only in a small amount. Reservatrol is much more present in grapes, therefore as sources of this substance it is better to take into account its berries directly, as well as red fruits and berries. As for red wine, the experts, authors of the new research, suggest that a glass a day is enough to produce a satisfying effect.



However, remember that with alcoholic beverages you shouldn't overdo it. therefore the final advice is to increase the consumption of foods such as grapes and berries to increase our intake of antioxidants both in the hope of losing weight and for our well-being.
