In Seattle, the smallest stackable house in the world: images and videos

Bedroom, video room with flat screen TV, coffee shop section overlooking the sidewalk, kitchen that seats 6, bathroom with Japanese bathtub. A mega villa? Far from it. A very small house, located in Seattle, whose dimensions are 17 square meters.

Thanks to the approximately 3 meter high ceilings, its designer Steve Sauer has seen fit to create three different stackable levels, to be used when needed. Three levels for a total of eight different spaces.

They were needed 10 years of design, and perhaps it will take more to perfect it, but today the result is eye-popping. Inside his Seattle micro-apartment, Steve boasts bespoke solutions and all the comforts.

And that's how the various areas have been stacked and interlocked on the three levels in order to guarantee them always usable. From the kitchen where nothing is missing, to the ceiling-mounted bedroom, to the video room with a flat-screen TV and the air café with an exterior view. How did he do?

Behind the kitchen, there is the bathroom, with a glass table IKEA that serves as a ceiling. The tabletop also serves as a platform for a guest bedroom mattress. By using the countertops and shelving, Sauer was able to have everything he needed in a very, very small space. The video below allows you to make a tour of the apartment.

And even if his mattress it's a little too short, he seems quite happy with what he created: "I like to push to the limit to see what I can do with the smallest kind of thing" explains Sauer. And above all do it in such a way as to have maximum efficiency.
