Of course, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth because from the shopping center of horrors, where other animals torn from their natural habitat are also on display, they let it be known that - of the saddest polar bear in the world - it is only one temporary displacement.
No freedom, therefore, even if some newspapers have disseminated this (dis) information. A cold shower and the many appeals of the various associations seem to fall on deaf ears.

Pizza is a polar bear, an arctic animal therefore, which has nothing to do with China. He is practically imprisoned in the "saddest in the world" zoo, as it has been called, which is itself found in a shopping mall in the Guangzhou region, along with other animals such as a beluga, a walrus and a wolf. All for one photo.
That bear has been filmed several times slumped on its side in its small enclosure Grandview Aquarium or in the grip of authentic Nervous Breakdown, and several petitions and appeals have sprung from there to not only close that terrible exhibition but also for Chinese industrial and commercial sectors to block the growing trend of displaying captive animals in shopping malls.
Now, from the mall they let you know that that exhibition space will need to be renovated (will they improve the cage ???), so Pizza will return to his native place, but alone temporarily, as they write from the Grandview Mall Aquarium. And just that "temporarily" the animal rights activists do not like at all.
“It is a good decision, the right decision for Pizza, but it is not the end of this sad story - comments Qin Xiaona, director of the Capital Animal Welfare association. 'temporarily' is not good enough. Now let's just hope that Grandview understands once and for all that just moving Pizza permanently is the right way ”. And, of course, we don't forget about the other animals: “We want to see the aquarium closed once and for all,” says Qin.

In October, Pizza's dramatic situation led dozens of activist groups to write one open letter to Zhu Xiaodan, the governor of Guangdong province, asking for his release. Well Mr. Zhu, and neither does his office, did not respond to the letter. The reason? Economics interests and the idea of not wanting to admit that it is a beautiful and good evil inflicted on animals that have nothing to do with it.

And the problem is not so much and not only with governors of provinces or owners of shopping centers who do not want to open my eyes, but rather with those thousands of people who flock to the mall to see a poor animal in captivity. The news that Pizza was about to be moved, for example, caused an unimaginable influx of visitors to the aquarium and, to greet his temporary absence, the mall also organized a very popular “special event”.
