Its stage is the forest, its audience are blind, elderly and sick elephants hosted by an association that takes care of them. He instead is Paul Barton, an English pianist who lives in Thailand and plays for his giants. A truly exceptional music therapy.

They move their big ears and trunk to the rhythm of music, where there is no sight, hearing takes care of creating pleasure and the beautiful notes of Paul Barton really manage to calm the elephants cared for by the Elephant's World foundation, wanted by the pianist.

Thus, blind, elderly or sick elephants find the necessary care in an oasis created in the middle of the forest. Since 1995 Paul Barton has been carrying out his project with his wife. Tired of the concert life, he decided to devote himself to these wonderful pachyderms in South Asia.

In addition to offering them a sustenance, Barton plays for them and swears that his music is so popular that the elephants begin to be lulled by the celestial notes. A panacea for these animals that in nature were no longer able to be self-sufficient, because they were sick, injured, traumatized.

A few years ago, on the eve of his birthday, Barton had a wonderful idea, that of carrying the piano on his shoulder and reaching the plateau of Kanchanaburi. From that moment on, his notes continue to brighten the life of the inhabitants of the forest.

Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Satie and many others the pachyderms seem enraptured by classical music. The best videos are published on his YouTube channel and in general the advertising is used to raise the necessary funds for the maintenance work of the animal paradise.

And to think that Barton is a self-taught pianist who arrived in Thailand almost by chance, but today he is a point of reference for these elephants. Among the many there is also Lam Duan, an old blind elephant who lulls herself with music.
