The collaboration between Lego and Adidas continues and today the Ultraboost were launched on the market, running shoes dedicated to all fans of Lego bricks, but above all made with plastic that would have ended up in the Oceans!

From today, April 8, it is possible to buy on the Adidas website and in the brand's stores the latest product born from the collaboration between the LEGO Group and Adidas: the Ultraboost Dna X Lego Plates.

This Ultraboost version features 3-Stripes that pay homage to the famous colored bricks.

Unlike the previous Adidas Originals ZX 8000 (always born from the collaboration with Lego and released in September last year) of which you could only customize the color of the strings and the brick-shaped plate inserted in the first round of the string, these new shoes they are much more customizable.

In fact, it will be possible to create the famous three stripes, symbol of the German sports brand, using bricks of different colors. The strips have been replaced with 3 transparent shaped bands on the brick-shaped base. Inside it is possible to insert the elements of the desired color without running the risk that they will jump off during the use of the shoes.

Inside the package, also printed with references to the Lego brick, in addition to the shoes are included:

  • 36 blue bricks
  • 36 yellow bricks
  • 36 red bricks
  • 36 green bricks

The plastic of the Oceans… at the feet!

But the new shoes have another point in their favor: they are made largely with Primeblue, a high-performance recycled material produced by Parley Ocean Plastic.

This material is made from plastic waste collected on beaches and coasts which is then transformed into a high-performance polyester yarn. Parley Ocean Plastic® was born with the intention of protecting the oceans, recovering and giving new life to plastic waste. An excellent system also to avoid using new plastic in the production of shoes (at least those of the Adidad x Parley line).

50% of the upper of the new Ultraboots is in fabric composed of 75% Primeblue yarn and, to make the sneakers, no virgin polyester was used.

It is a shoe designed specifically for runners: thanks to the Boost technology, in fact, used to make the sole, the foot will receive a thrust return with each step. The cost is 160 euros.
