In Argentina, a dog that was stuck in a pipe for two nights was rescued by the firefighters with the collaboration of the residents
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himIn San Miguel, Argentina, a dog was trapped in a pipe for two nights. Thanks to the work of the firefighters and the cooperation of the residents, the animal was saved.
Papu is a well-known dog in the San Miguel neighborhood where he lives and is considered a mascot. They had passed two nights since the last time he was seen by the inhabitants of the area in San José y San Nicolàs, in the town of Muñiz. At that point they started worrying and looking for him.
Unfortunately the dog remained stuck in a tube plumber and he could no longer get out.

The situation was critical but fortunately there was a happy ending. The firefighters rushed in and, although the operation to free him was difficult (they had to break the pipe with the help of the neighborhood), it was successful and Papu was back running free and happy.
The four firefighters said that Papu initially:
“He did not let himself be touched. It is normal for him to get defensive and aggressive because he is not ours and, moreover, he has been 48 hours in the same position inside a pipe without drinking or eating anything. Then I think he realized we were there to get him out. He cooperated a lot and, when there was enough space, he went out alone. People were very grateful ”.

Neighborhood residents put a wire mesh over the pipe to prevent further such incidents and offered drinks and food to the firefighters who pointed out how this rescue particularly affected them:
“It was exciting because everything went well. These are the bailouts that are good for the heart ”.
