Forced to live in the rubble, without food and without water for whole days, theirs are stories of a denied childhood and an uncertain future. Because everyone is moved in front of their big sad eyes, but no state, to date, has put in place resolutive strategies to stem a situation now adrift.

In recent days, the US coalition has bombed the surroundings of the city of Manbij, 80km from Aleppo. And second Unicef they would be at least 20 children killed, a number destined to grow in a conflict that, in five years, has caused the death of over 470 thousand people.

Why is no one talking about these children? The news was given by very few media outlets, while yesterday many published the appeal of the little Syrians who, with the drawings of the Pokemon in hand, asked the whole international community to be found and saved.

According to Unicef, the children to be saved from the conflict in Syria are at least 35 thousand. There are trapped near the Turkish border and innocent victims of a battle for control of the city, besieged by Kurdish militias supported by the air raids of the international coalition.

The exact number of victims is unlikely to come to light, as many often remain buried under the rubble of clay and brick houses.

“We are probably facingthe greatest loss of human life in a US coalition operation in Syria. An immediate, independent and transparent investigation is needed to determine what happened and who the perpetrators are, so that the perpetrators are brought to trial and the families of the victims obtain full compensation. It is also imperative that the US-led coalition redouble its efforts to avoid further loss of life, ”he said Magdalena Mughrabi, Acting Deputy Director of Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa Program.
