    It happened to Dan Toombs, a 47-year-old Englishman from North Yorkshire, now known online under the alias "The Curry Guy", That is the curry boy, who - passionate about Indian foods and spices - has been nourishing himself for years with the ready meals of a ethnic fast-food.

    Tired of eating precooked foods and spending a fortune at the Indian takeaway near his home, he decided to drastically change his habits by making a a real sociological-culinary experiment: has committed for a whole year to cook exclusively at home, thus giving up the restaurant or fast-food, and over the course of 12 months he created 365 different dishes, all based on curry.

    Result? At the end of the experiment, Dan took stock and realized he had gained a lot in health (thanks to the curcumin present in the turmeric, one of the main components of curry), in taste (the dishes prepared by him, following the original Indian recipes learned from a cookbook were naturally healthier and tastier than those of the fast-food he was used to) and above all, ccooking at home with the children, he rediscovered the pleasure of family ties and a new model of life.

    Dan documented his sociological-culinary experiment in a blog, where he posted photos and recipes of everything he prepared in his kitchen, receiving thousands of approval messages from users and more 30.000 tweets on stima.
