A kennel that is not just 'a kennel', because it follows the studio's philosophy or “landscape, architecture and interior design with an emphasis on livability”, as stated on their website.
Because this dog house as well as being very beautiful, has a green carpet that allows the dog to go up to the roof and relax near a tap which is used both to quench Fido and to irrigate (and therefore reduce the waste of water).
The materials are all recycled and therefore zero impact, there is one solar powered fan which allows cooling and heating of the environment which therefore contributes to animal welfare without creating the suffering of changing seasons and a drain hidden behind the front wall which facilitates cleaning of the interior. On the side, a pocket for storing food and objects of our four-legged friend.
Then there are some nice windows to keep an eye on who passes!
The eco-friendly doghouse is on display at the Carmel Canine Cottages Competition from September 11th to September 15th. After the event, the facility will be auctioned and all funds will go to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
