Extremely realistic portraits, self-portraits and drawings, mostly made in pencil: these are the works of Mariusz Kedzierski, a 23-year-old Polish artist. And looking at them - so detailed, refined, vivid and intense - it seems truly incredible that their young and talented author is born without arms.
Mostly self-taught, Mariusz Kedzierski he began drawing seven years ago, after a surgical operation, and, over the years, has perfected his style at the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Her talent, her executive ability and her ability to capture and represent emotions and moods are truly mind-blowing.
“I think of my talent as something that is there despite the arms.” - he recently told in an interview - “Everything comes naturally to me, so I can't say if it is difficult or easy to draw without arms. I don't know what it's like to have arms, because I've never had them. "
To create his works, Kedzierski uses a common pencil, which he holds tight between the ends of his "arms". Each drawing requires at least twenty hours of work: a demanding task, which the Polish artist carries out with dedication, passion and creativity, convinced that there are no other limits, if not those built by our mind.
For this reason, in recent months Kedzierski has traveled around Europe, stopping to draw along the streets of big cities, driven by the desire to show, with his art and his example, that nothing is really impossible. And his message is truly a hymn to trust, courage and stubbornness:
"I have a message for everyone, not just the disabled." - He said - “Fight for your dreams and live your big life. Do the things others are afraid to do. Don't waste your time, because it's priceless. "
