Hidden in earthen embankments to shelter from the natural elements, the Garður Landhome are part of a larger project, which focuses on bringing native vegetation back to the area.

The architects of the studio based in Reykjavik they designed this striking house intended for the hilly Icelandic landscape with construction techniques similar to those used by their ancestors, the Vikings.

Wrapped in a warm carpet grassy, the house is located on the east bank of the river Exterior Wrong, the land around it has been mostly barren for two years due to ash from the neighbor volcano Crochet.
