The Cat Hotel, a luxury hotel located in New Hampshire, has decided to host the cats of people hospitalized for the coronavirus for free.
In recent weeks, hospital admissions have been increasing due to coronavirus infections in the UK. And many people who live alone are forced to leave their pets overnight, tormented (as well as by the many worries related to the virus) by the question: who will take care of them?
For this reason, the Hotel Cat, located in England in the New Forest National Park, has decided to open its doors to house the cats left alone in this dramatic period.
This hotel is the only one in the UK with full size suites with beds, duvets, games of all kinds, china bowls, televisions and other amenities. It is, in fact, a 5-star structure with heated rooms, a large garden with deck chairs, trees to climb on, and lots of space to run around.
The luxury hotel offers 8 different types of very spacious suites, some even measuring 32 square meters! A room rental generally costs up to £ 36 per day. However, in this difficult phase, Jackie Ferrier and her husband Tim - who have been running the Hotel Cat for 6 years - want to show solidarity and help people who do not know who to entrust their cats to, welcoming them for free.
To make this decision known, on March 16 they posted this message on the hotel's Facebook profile:
“In this horrific time that is affecting us all and which has huge financial implications for so many small businesses, we would like to offer our service to those in need. Our usually very busy cat hotel will be very quiet in the next few days, so if you know someone who needs to be hospitalized or is too sick to take care of their cat, we will collect and treat them for free until they arrive. will be put back. It is at times like these that we must all take care of each other and pray that this terrible virus will soon disappear. Please share this message so that it reaches all those in need ”.
