Elephant mom carries her dead cub to the forest to bury him

The video portrays a elephant mom carrying her dead cub to the forest to bury it.
The elephant drags the baby with her trunk and carries him from one side of the road to the other in the direction of the forest.
Before entering the dense vegetation, the elephant mother comes reached and helped by the rest of the pack. A real procession which involves an entire family of elephants, observed by a group of people from a distance.

It is not known who or what they have killed the baby elephant: probably died following the attack of another animal.
According to Parveen Kaswan, the elephants are taking the baby to a place to bury it.
Staff working with kaswan on the Kerala reserve in India explained that it is very common for these mammals create cemeteries in the forest. It appears that the elephants perform some sort of funeral for their fellowmen and that the herd gathers to give the last goodbye to his friend and bury him in the wood.
