A gypsy wagon in the middle of the woods. Frodo would be happy to call it home. It is a charming one a little hobbit style bandwagon, a little gypsy, housed in the middle of a forest and made with a lot of ingenuity, a lot of elbow grease and, above all, all recycled materials. Inside there is really nothing missing of everything that can be useful to spend a peaceful and comfortable life in the woods and every detail is designed to respect nature.

This magical mobile home of 50 square meters, crowned by curved cut beams, which thus form the characteristic roof covered with sheets, is built on a 5-ton frame recovered from a truck destined for demolition, purchased for the modest sum of 100 dollars. The floor, on the other hand, is made with fir wood beams, bolted to the metal structure.

Even the windows, designed to be all open so as to let in the fresh mountain air, are second hand, buy by sifting through the used car ads. The round one, for example, comes from a picnic table from 1970 and is framed by a nautical rope. The tiles that cover the wagon are then from the scraps of wood used to make guitars, and have been cut with an ax one by one.

Great attention was also paid to the comforts, which certainly are not lacking: the wagon is fully wired, is equipped with a gas kitchen with 3 burners recycled from an old camper, there is one for heating wood stove able to create a warm and welcoming space in less than 20 minutes, even in the harshest of winters, una bathtubfinally, it allows you to wash yourself with fresh spring water to which the pipes are connected. And if nature "calls" here is one available Compost Toilette a few meters.

Born from hard work, carried out with a lot of love and a lot of passion, this project took two years to complete and cost, in addition to a hard hunt for recycled items of which it is composed, about 8.000 dollars. The result is a magnificent structure to call "home", where you can open the windows and enjoy the deliciousness every day smell of forest cedar surroundings, enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on the nearby lake and make extraordinary encounters with wild animals. When, then, a new adventure calls, just move it with a truck or a tractor the house, since it is equipped with comfortable wheels. And go where you want most.
