Confirmation comes from one Dutch study which proves that the brain is anatomically identical, so they are not there structural differences between those who say they have little memory and those who have an iron memory.

Research published in the Neuron magazine explains that it's just a matter of training and that anyone can improve their memory ability. Doing a steady thirty minute workout every day for 40 in a row.

A systematic review

There are certainly some foods that give us a better memory, such as, for example, turmeric or dark chocolate, but this study conducted by Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen in the Netherlands, it proves that remembering names and lists is not possible for anyone.

The team of researchers, through the magnetic resonance, examined the brains of 23 memory world champions and 23 similar people for age, health, intelligence, but with a average memory.

Professor Martin Dresler found that volunteers with super memory have more than twenty brain connections, which were not found in the others.

During the experiment, people were divided into three groups: the first was to train the short-term memory, the second more intense for strategic memory and a third did not have to do any training for the memory. Before the next test these volunteers were able to remember between 26 and 30 words from a list.

The results came later 40 days of training. The group that had done the most intense training was able to remember 35 words in addition, those who followed the short memory exercises had improved on average by 11 parole, while the last of 7.

After experiment i volunteers people trained with the technique of the loci or palace of memory, had developed the 25 brain connections found in the memory samples.

Researchers involved in the project 23 athletes of world-class memory, and through functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) they compared the morphology and brain activity of their brains with those of 23 volunteers, all with age, intelligence and health status comparable to those of the samples, but with average memory skills.


From the analyzes it emerged that the brains among the two groups were perfectly identical, except for one detail: the presence of a couple of dozen brain connections peculiar to athletes of memory.
