Light trails yellow in color immersed in darkness. They are not lamps. The man also has nothing to do with it because he would not be able to create such a suggestive image. It is the hand of Nature that gave life to this carpet of Fireflies in the midst of Japanese woods. The photographer who managed to immortalize him is lucky.
An enchanted forest that portrayed by Hiramatsu Tsuneaki, photographer from Okayama City. Now a distant memory for us, fireflies are an integral part of the Japanese forests.
Having such a fascinating 'material' at his disposal, Tsuneaki did not miss the opportunity and in recent years he has returned several times to admire the nights lit by fireflies.
The shots were taken with an 8 second long exposure. The photos were taken near the river near Okayama City in the Hokubo area and portrayed a particular species of firefly called Genji Botaru. The photos of the woods, on the other hand, were taken near the city of Niimi and the famous Tennoohachiman sanctuary.
But long exposure wasn't Tsuneaki's only weapon. To capture these tiny creatures in their entirety, the photographer used the timelapse making several continuous exhibitions and then combining them in post-production.
In this way, the Japanese photographer managed to impress the beauty of Nature in the 'film', certainly unmatched by its evocative images.
