    “Smart Forest City - Cancun is thought of as a self-sufficient settlement from an energy point of view - you can read on the official website - A perimeter ring of photovoltaic panels and a water channel connected with an underground system to the sea will allow to feed the city in a sustainable way and to develop acircular economy as regards the use of water, a key element of the project, collected at the entrance to the city with a large dock and a desalination tower, and distributed by a system of canals, including navigable ones, which will serve the entire settlement and irrigate also the outer belt of agricultural fields ".
