The first Dog film festival that celebrates four-legged friends arrives: online you will find the calls to participate
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himThe DFF - Dog Film Festival - a film and literary festival (the first) dedicated entirely to dogs is starting. Which rewards the creative proposals that see them as protagonists. And which, in the meantime, also supports a campaign against abandonment.
After all, dogs are known to be man's best friends, we spend a lot of time together and without them we would feel a bit lost. They are part of our stories and our imagination, children love them, adults too.
But how does this Festival work, which wants them to be protagonists by focusing on values such as empathy, nature, the environment and emotional values? The first thing to know is that it will take place in digital edition in 3 phases: from March 15th to May 30th 2021 the calls for entries and submission of works are scheduled to open. From 5 to 25 June 2021 the latter will be evaluated by the Juries and then on 8 July 2021 there will be the assignment of the DFF Awards.
The sections in the competition, in which it is possible to participate with your proposal, are 3:
- PRODUCERS, section aimed at productions, distributors and videomakers who can register their feature films for cinema and TV, animations also in serial version, shorts and documentaries.
- LOVERS, the section dedicated to those who want to share days and emotions shared with a furry friend. The works of this category will be evaluated through a Video Contest open on the Youtube channel.
- WRITER, the section dedicated to authors or to those who have a story to tell that has a dog as protagonist or co-protagonist.
The Festival also includes two sections out of competition which are DFF Heritage, which rewards audiovisual productions that have made the history of dogs in cinema and TV. And the DFF Civil Servants section, dedicated to rewarding the value of dogs in civil society both in terms of therapy, safety and emergency response.
The winners of each section will be selected by the Juries and awarded. Truly a Festival that deserves all our attention, whether you want to participate or simply follow it as spectators. On the official website you will find the calls and all the info to participate.
