This fantasy portrait photographer found herself hospitalized with her little girl. And she sought magic.

What if a table became a white horse? What if those walls disappear? At the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome, a real journey into the imagination has begun, among fairy branches, enchanted woods and unicorns, a new way to fight the boredom of days that are all the same.
Two little roommates, Gaia, 11 and suffering from cystic fibrosis, and Letizia, 5, found a way to pass that empty time thanks to the artistic genius of Letizia's mother, Roberta Carnevaletti, who transformed the two girls into two authentic warriors who try to teach through “magical shots” to always smile.
Roberta, aka Moments of Tenderness, a professional photographer specializing in fantasy portraits, has in fact found herself in these days, already difficult for everyone, to be hospitalized with her five-year-old daughter at Bambino Gesù. Concern for her daughter's health and the restrictions due to Covid have led Roberta to take up her reflex to transform the experience of her little girl and her roommate into a fairy tale.

They were born fantastic pictures, of ladies in enchanted woods, amazons riding unicorns, princesses in dreamlike and poetic dimensions, giving them back that magical dimension to which every child should be entitled.

It is photomontages and a fantasy production that had already begun during the first lockdown, when Roberta decides to get her little girl out of the constraints of quarantine, at least with her imagination, and that's how she begins to create fairy worlds all for she.
Here was born the photo with the giant tiger, the flight over the city on a paper airplane, the navigation among the stars, the caresses of the elephant, the meeting with the unicorn and a walk with the bear.

Not only that, but Letizia also finds herself dancing in the kingdom of ice, talking to a goldfish, making an angel in the flour of a super cake, preparing Santa's hot chocolate and in many other magical adventures.

"For a few days Letizia was not well and almost suddenly, we were hospitalized at Bambin Gesù. I had so many worries about my baby's health, but when Letizia began to feel better, I immediately looked for a way to alleviate her seriousness. hospital experience, creating a new fantasy world around her. It was natural to involve Gaia, her 11-year-old Sicilian roommate, in our journey, to include her in her story and to create the same enchanted world for her too ".
Yes, because Gaia and her mother immediately lent themselves to the game and it was a great adventure for everyone.
“The girls had a lot of fun - says Roberta. I had asked my husband to bring me some clothes from the studio and my reflex to be able to make room for joy. And when the girls donned the princely clothes, the magic quickly found its way into our hospital room. We could see the sun even behind closed windows… It was nice. An atmosphere of harmony and beauty has been created ”.

And when asked what Letizia and Gaia bring with them from this experience, Roberta is sure on one point: they will be hope and nice the winning weapons:
“There is the beauty behind the table in the room (used to ride it) there is the beauty behind a week spent in a bad ward, because there was no lack of smiles! It was something born spontaneously, I followed my heart with the only desire to make that beautiful upward bow that is the smile come back to draw on those young faces. And this created a pure and sincere bond between us all ... which united us deeply! "
