In Chile one is in place great revolution who wants to give a second chance to the forests destroyed by the hand of man. The protagonists are three border collie, that is Summer, Olivia and Das who cultivate greenery in a completely original way.
Il 2 January of the 2017 there was one of the worst fires in the history of Chile, vast areas of forests have been lost. According to estimates, over 580 thousand hectares and 100 houses of Valparaiso they do not exist anymore. Same situation in February where 100 fires they hit the forests of El Maule.
An unprecedented disaster for the Chilean government which has asked for help from more than ten countries. To the rescue Japan, Russia and the United States who have made available their teams to quench the flames.
But the damage is not small, in total in addition to the destroyed forests, there are a total of 1500 houses and 11 deaths. A landscape marred by charred trees and the deaths of numerous animals, including birds, reptiles and mammals.
To heal the situation, Francisca Torres, manager of Pewos, an NGO that deals with the environment, has launched an innovative idea. Her three border collie dogs Summer, Olivia and Das equipped with very special vests, while walking through the charred forest they drop seeds that hopefully will attack to give new life to the area
“We want to revive Flora and fauna thanks to this project started in March. The dogs obviously are delighted to run in the forest and every time they complete their task, they receive hefty rewards, ”explains the woman.
The three splendid dogs manage to cover even a radius of 30 kilometers, unloading up to ten kilos of seeds, while humans can sow for up to three kilometers. Think of what extraordinary work they can do.

And the first fruits are already seen in the 15 forests of Maule where the seeds begin to sprout. Summer, Olivia and Das are shepherd dogs, so they have been trained not to attack any wild animals, thanks to their speed, intelligence and energy.
