Argentina has transformed in two decades into one of the homelands of the cultivation of more, cotton swab and soia GMO. The most serious problem concerns the massive use of pesticides and herbicides, among which the glyphosate, which for years have continued to pollute the water, the air and the land and put the health of both farmers and the population at risk.

Second the latest data available, at least 24 million hectares of land are cultivated in Argentina using genetically modified seeds. Argentina is the third largest producer of GMO crops in the world, after the United States and Brazil. Estimates they talk also of 300 million liters of glyphosate used in Argentina to grow GM soybeans.

These are very juicy, totally natural tomatoes, fertilized with organic compost and grown without pesticides. In this way the farmers of Chile have brought back to life those tomatoes that really have the characteristic taste they loved so much in childhood.

Farmers in Chile and Argentina who accepted the challenge of organic against GMOs invite everyone to buy fruit and vegetables from small producers who cultivate it with respect for health and the environment. A growth in consumer demand could lead to a change in the market and a greater diffusion of organic agriculture compared to industrial and biotech crops.
