The bear Gaia (jj4) remains free! To announce that the Council of State has accepted the appeal against the capture of the bear is the Minister of the Environment Sergio Costa.

There seemed to be no peace for the bear Gaia who, after attacking two men last summer, saw an order of arrest hanging over her. She therefore risked ending up like other bears, like Papillon, locked up in the Casteller pen.

After a series of back and forth on the decision to capture her or not (also considering that she was taking care of her puppies), the good news that we were all waiting for finally arrived and that many had been asking on social networks for some time to the Minister Costa, particularly sensitive to the theme.

It was he who announced that "Common sense has won" and that the bear is safe!

As Costa recalls, today's good news must not cause attention to fall on the subject since today she is called Gaia, before there was Papillon (unfortunately still locked up) but tomorrow it could be some other bear.

Despite the difficulties in managing relations with a territory such as the Province of Trento which is an autonomous province, that is, it can act autonomously on many issues:

"It is time to find the right way for a peaceful coexistence between men and bears, two species that have inhabited our beautiful country for a long, long time".

A victory obtained also thanks to the battles of the Enpa and Oipa.

Enjoy Gaia freedom and good hibernation!

We hope that all the other bears will also have the opportunity to live free in their woods.
