From the simple dripping tap to the consumption of certain types of food. Each of us can certainly do better at home to save water, energy and other natural resources, while also reducing waste. The site Generationawake.eu shows which are the most common errors made at home.

Room by room, some themes are explored. From the over-exploitation of fish species to the importance of separate collection, from the use of detergents that cause an unnatural proliferation of algae to the presence of plants in the house, very useful, since they can also act as natural filters and keep colds at bay. Indeed, it is necessary to pursue this path to improve the recycling targets set by the EU. Even if the results achieved so far by some sectors are good, waste still remains an extremely underutilized resource in the Old Continent. In 2020, the Generation Awake campaign put the spotlight on a more adequate waste management, one of the fundamental elements for achieving the goals of the green economy.

The Generation Awake campaign site invites visitors to discover the value that waste can have and shows how certain products, rather than thrown away, can instead be reused, recycled, exchanged and repaired.
