It was conceived by Enrica Sanavio, a biologist who is very close to nature and who recently received the Innovation Award of the Female Enterprise for this project.

Are you looking for more environmentally friendly detergents? TO Padova in recent times a novelty has arrived. It is about Deterfriend, for an vending machine for the sale of detergents on tap. It was conceived by Enrica Sanavio, a biologist who is very close to nature and who, precisely for this project, has recently received the Innovation Award of the Female Enterprise.
Deterfriend is an automatic shop where citizens can take out the bulk liquid detergent yourself, a bit like they would for fuel. In this way, the main advantage linked to the choice of detergents on tap is obtained, namely the reduction of waste produced by packaging.
In fact, to buy detergents on tap from the Deterfriend dispenser you can use your own bottles or containers of any size. A freedom that translates into a purchasing system that does not produce waste. Thanks to the automatic dispensers of bulk detergents we will have less accumulations of plastic and one reduction of Co2 emissions.
Each distributor is equipped with a liter-counter device. Detergents are dispensed in quantities that correspond to the credit inserted, starting from 30 cents. An option that allows you to buy only the amount of detergent you really need and that allows you to save.
The Deterfriend project reminds you that for cleaning the house there is no need to use an exaggerated number of products. This is why the offer is reduced to 8 detergents, some of which are multipurpose, i.e. they are suitable for cleaning different surfaces.
Most of the proposed detergents are “ECO”, that is, they meet minimum environmental criteria for water protection (according to the decree of 24 May 2012 of the Ministry for the environment and for the protection of the sea and the territory). These are dish detergent, window spray, limescale remover, washing machine detergent and fabric softener.
We hope that the remaining products, i.e. degreaser, antibacterial and floor cleaner, will soon meet the same criteria. On the website dedicated to the project you will find the Datasheet and safety data sheets of all detergents by hovering the mouse over the Products item in the menu.
The products for sale have been selected according to criteria for passing efficacy tests in the food industry. They are therefore with high cleaning power and ideal for both home hygiene and professional use, for example in the restaurant business, but also schools, kindergartens and doctors' offices.
Deterfriend is a project in Franchising, created to promote the opening of more points of sale for the benefit of the environment, thanks to the promotion of detergents on tap, without packaging.
