Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin signed the directive to begin the mapping of agricultural land in the Campania Region. Technical investigations will be carried out in this regard, in relation to the waste emergency, as communicated by the Ministry itself.

Land of fires, green light to mapping of land intended for agriculture. Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin signed the directive to begin mapping of agricultural land of the Campania Region. Technical investigations will be carried out in this regard, in relation to the waste emergency, as communicated by the same Ministry.
The mapping of agricultural land in Campania it will also take place through remote sensing techniques, which will serve to ascertain the possible existence of contaminating effects, caused by illegal spills and disposal, which could also be linked to the combustion of waste.
The collection of information will take place systematically, in collaboration with the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Abruzzo and Molise. They will be executed land classification and registration procedures subject of investigation. The Carabinieri Command will also be involved in the investigations Nas and the National Institute of Health.
"With the provision signed 10 days after the issue of the Government decree, therefore ahead of schedule, - Minister Lorenzin said - we have kept the promise of wanting to give Campania citizens answers on what has happened in their territories in recent decades. Our commitment is aimed at first of all to protect the health of resident citizens and to restore certainty to consumers of Campania food products ".
The working group will be formed, among other things, by the representatives of the Council for Research in Agriculture of Ispra, Agea, the Campania Region, Arpa Campania and theUniversity of Naples Federico II, as well as the experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Abruzzo and Molise.
