Iodine higher than what is reported on the label. With this motivation Bayer recalled two batches of the Supradyn multivitamin supplement.

This is a voluntary recall that specifically concerns two lots of the Supradyn product refill50 + 15CPR EF - cod. 935662561:

    • n ° N1U489
    • n°N1U493.

We contacted Bayer who explained to us that a higher iodine quantity than declared on the label emerged and respectively equal to 231 mcg and 277 mcg instead of 75 mcg.

"The recall was voluntary and therefore linked only to qualitative reasons" explains the company.

In any case, Bayer points out, that the amount of iodine is in no way risky to health.

These lots have been withdrawn from pharmacies while any stocks will have to be set aside and prepared for collection.
