    After the forced stop due to the health emergency, the iconic Japanese museum is in danger of closing forever.

    The forced stop of numerous activities due to the health emergency risks making various realities disappear. Among these, also the Studio Ghibli Museum, which risks closing permanently.





    Studio Ghibli had plans to open a theme amusement park, but there pandemic has completely upset the plans and the economic damage resulting from the many months of closure has brought this reality very close to bankruptcy.

    To try and save the iconic museum, the animation studio led by Hayao Miyazaki has launched a fundraising with the collaboration of the municipality of Mitaka. The initiative's mascot is Pom Poko, one of the protagonists of the studio's films, created by Miyazaki himself.

    The goal is to raise an amount equal to 90mila U.S. dollars, so as to avoid the definitive closure of a place that preserves and tells an important page of Japanese animation and beyond. For the moment the figure has not yet been reached campaign, so the future of the Museum is still uncertain.
