The artist Philippe Écharou has decided to exploit technology to expand the possibilities of expression of Street Art and to take it where roads do not really exist, for example in the forest.

The artist ha projected faces on the trees of the Amazon rainforest. The faces match those of some members of the Surui tribe, a group of Brazilian indigenous people who are constant victims of the devastation caused by deforestation and gold miners in the Rondonia and Mato Grosso regions.

“When you cut a tree it is like killing a man” - said the artist to explain the meaning of his project. The faces of those who populate the forest and those who protect it emerge among the trunks of the trees. Indigenous peoples could not live without their forest.
