From the 2013, Paul Walsh paints the booths of his hometown, enriching them with animal characters inspired by Internet memes, and has so far made fifteen.
His debut dates back to two years ago when Walsh painted the famous Grumpy Cat meme on a wall in a local park and quickly became famous, thanks also to social networks where his images went viral.
Then, the company that manages the New Zealand telephone network got in touch with him and asked him to paint all of his booths.
At first, Walsh he was not rewarded for his efforts, so he launched a fundraising campaign and managed to raise $ 1300, which allowed him to take a break from his work and spend those hours transforming the big ugly cabins that lie. in public areas in captivating works of art.
Today Auckland is a celebrity, and the city is a bit more colorful.
