Mars has withdrawn several batches of Snickers, Bounty, Twix and M & M's brand ice cream due to the presence of ethylene oxide

Mars, the US multinational specialized in confectionery such as the iconic Snickers and Twix, is withdrawing several batches of branded ice cream from German supermarkets Snickers, Bounty, Twix e M&M’s due to the probable presence of the dangerous carcinogenic pesticide contained in one of the ingredients used, carob seed flour (used as a thickener).
However, as clarified by the company itself, the ethylene oxide concentration is very low and should not pose any health risk to consumers.
