Collect i metal caps bottles to give life to a collective creative recycling action that will transform them into a work of art dedicated to Naples.

The "Startap" project kicks off in which bars, restaurants, pizzerias and citizens are invited not to throw away and to keep metal drink caps (crowned ones) and thus contribute to the culture of reuse that will culminate in an environmental work that will come made by the artist Luigi Masecchia, dedicated to Naples and later donated to the city itself.

Sponsored by the municipality of Naples, the project aims to represent "a contamination between social, sustainability and accessible art:

"An active initiative of education and promotion of the culture of reuse, through a widespread and participatory process of urban creativity: what is normally discarded becomes a precious piece of a citizen mosaic of awareness and care of the territory, finally returning a fascinating work of land art, a new iconography of critical consumption and a modern piece of the city's artistic heritage ”declared Councilor Luigi Felaco in the press release.

The artist Luigi Masecchia is not new to this type of art. In 2014 he was the creator of TAppo'st, a project in which with upcycling the caps were transformed into real works of 3D pop art, starting with the famous Campbell soup can.

But how many will need to be collected and what to do next? As they explain from the website of the municipality of Naples,

"Each envelope will be collected using private couriers and involving two agents, for a minimum collection, the equivalent of a classic shopping bag is required".

If you are a local, an association or even a group of citizens, you can join by sending an email to the following email address: info@luigimasecchia.com. The caps will be collected at the artist's expense.
