Is called Space bubble, literally bubble house. It is an inflatable construction from very small size, but which allows you to have a very particular perspective of the environment that surrounds it. Its creator is Alex Swede.

The New York artist conceived his bubble house initially as one rentable hotel room for the exhibition "Draft Urbanism”On the occasion of the 2013 edition of the Biennial of the Americas, held in Denver a few months ago.

But then Schweder spent ten days in this little inflatable plastic bubble at the Philip Johnson Glass House, a National Historic Site that offers its 49-acre campus as an incentive for the conservation and interpretation of modern architecture, also based on the landscape.

The project is part of the long-term campaign Glass House, conceived by Henry Urbach to transform the site into a cultural center. Here, the temporary structure renamed "Rehearsal Space" was raised up to almost 7 meters by a plumbing system and was then connected to the adjacent Brick House by a simple power cable.

Un internal control panel allowed the artist to switch furniture between a sofa and a bed. And the entrance, which is also a private bathroom, serves as an air hatch to balance the internal pressure.

The artist explained that his project was a way to offer the visitor the possibility of observe the surroundings from a different perspective and reflect on the concept of transparency, intimacy and exposure to the outside. Unlike his previous projects which required public participation and often physical involvement, Schweder lived alone in his inflatable chambers for 10 days, during which he used Johnson's private library to write a manuscript on his idea of architecture.
