A wooden armchair that recharges our electronic devices via usb. It's called Soft Rocker and works strictly on solar energy
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himTop up your own electronic gadgets remaining comfortably lying on a beautiful armchair. Possible, indeed real thanks to the imagination of Sheila Kennedy, professor of architecture at MIT.
The scholar, specializing in the design of energy and innovation systems for cities and buildings, has developed these special armchairs where you just have to sit down to recharge all our devices. All strictly in key green. His latest creation is called Soft Rocker.
The mobile, in reality, is a real charging station powered by solar power. Therefore the function is twofold: an elegant object for garden furniture and a real one energy unit. Equipped with a 12 ampere per hour battery, Soft Rocker it stores solar energy throughout the day, and then releases it… when needed, simply by lying on it.
In fact, the armchair exploits human balance by creating a sort of trace which is then used for the acquisition of solar energy. Then, by connecting the devices via USB to the armchair, that's it. From cell phones to speakers, without distinction.
Also nice design and the form, which invites the Relaxing. A shame not to have it, don't you think?
