Smoothies

Do you have a mixer? Then you can easily prepare a shake. Smoothies are made with fruit, vegetables and vegetables, preferably fresh. The creamiest smoothies (for example, based on apples or bananas) are called Smoothie, while smoothies prepared with ice or frozen fruit are called hit.

Particular attention deserve the green smoothies, that is, those smoothies very rich in vegetables that are prepared with the intention of combining them with fruit to increase their consumption and in any case to obtain pleasant-tasting drinks. Unlike live juices and centrifuged, smoothies contain a lot of fiber. Fiber is useful for encouraging intestinal functions, to help the body excrete toxins and to help lower cholesterol.

The base of smoothies is usually made up of fresh fruit and raw or cooked vegetables or greens. However, additions can be made, which include simple fresh water, fruit juices, vegetable milk, coconut water, but also dried or dried fruit (previously soaked), natural sweeteners, vanilla or cinnamon powder. Precisely because they are high in fiber, smoothies they are very filling. Are much more than just drinks and can represent a light meal.

Live juices

Live juices are prepared withextractor, a machine that processes fruit, vegetables and vegetables at low speed to extract their juice. The extractors work so do not heat the ingredients, so as not to alter and deteriorate theirs Vitamins and theirs enzymes.

This is how they are obtained drinks rich in water (organic water found in fruit and vegetables), enzymes, vitamins and minerals, but low in fiber (they contain very few or in any case in a variable quantity based on the machinery used). The fibers in fact represent the part of waste that you will collect from the extractor after the preparation of your live juice.

Live juices they are light for the intestine and they can be suitable for those who, due to health problems, have to reduce the consumption of fibers for a certain period. In this case, he will prefer live juices to smoothies, which, as mentioned, preserve the fibers of fruit and vegetables. There waste production could be seen as one disadvantage of the preparation of live juices, but in reality it can increase your creativity in the kitchen, since with the waste fibers you can prepare fruit salads, cakes, biscuits and enrich fruit salads and smoothies.

The main advantage of preparing live juices is that the extractor works at a lower speed than the centrifuge, thus heating the ingredients less. Furthermore, the waste parts are drier compared to what happens with the centrifuge. Therefore the amount of juice obtained with the extractor it should turn out greater. Live juices are healthy and actually have no particular contraindications, except for the somewhat high cost of the new generation extractors.

Centrifuged

If you own one centrifuge, you can prepare a centrifuged based on fruit and / or vegetables. While smoothies are rich in fibers, centrifuged products have some only a small amount.

What are, however, the differences between centrifuged and live juice? The main question concerns the use of the extractor or centrifuge, which we will choose for the centrifuged products. There centrifuge work on one faster speed than the extractor and is likely to heat the ingredients of our drink, with a possible deterioration of vitamins and loss of enzymes.

The suggestion is to consume freshly prepared live and centrifuged juices, to prevent them from losing part of their nutritional properties over time and with exposure to air and light. In addition, the drinks obtained with the centrifuge tend to "separate", which does not happen with juices produced with the extractor. Both live and centrifuged juices have a very low fiber content. The centrifuge has the disadvantage of producing one wetter waste than the extractor.

Therefore the total quantity of drink obtained with the same dose of vegetables it could be lower compared to the use of the extractor. Both centrifuged and live juices can be prepared without peeling the fruit, if this is organic. Juices, just like juices, have a high moisturizing power e are recommended as natural tonic in case of stress, frequent physical activity, periods of intense study. In general, homemade juices with the extractor or with the centrifuge have the advantage di do not contain preservatives, dyes, refined sugars and additives which may be present in industrially produced packaged juices.

What drink choose, so? Much depends on the appliances you have available. If you can prepare both smoothies and juices and live juices, alternate them in your daily diet or in any case during the week. Who needs increase the consumption of fiber, will prefer smoothies, whoever wants increase the intake of vitamins and enzymes, will choose live juices, or centrifuged, if you have a centrifuge available but not an extractor.

Finally, those who love juices will choose them as drinks to be consumed at breakfast, as a snack or during the day, but will not forget to also consume smoothies or fruit and vegetables in general to benefit from the high fiber content of whole fruits and vegetables, since juices and centrifuged have a very low fiber content.
