    Here are some home green practices to get deep and restorative "zzz":

    1) Improve air quality by reducing domestic fine dust pollution

    • Favor one better ventilation of rooms with continuous air changes.
    • Paint the walls with environmentally friendly, low-content paints VOC Volatile Organic Compounds (Directive 2004 / 42 / EC) or, at most, water-based paints;
    • Use a clay plaster which produces negative ions. The increase of negative ions improves the quality of the air: the air becomes cleaner and fresher and this favors an increase in oxygen flow to the brain.

    2) Improve the quality of your mattresses and pillows

    Do you have the impression that your mattress weighs more? You are right: some studies have shown that with the passage of time the weight of a mattress, at least one year old, can increase by 10% and the cause is attributable to dust mites and their excrements that are deposited inside.

    The ideal would be to buy a new one, favoring materials such as natural latex, lana and melamine, which reduce exposure to toxins, and avoid any source of formaldehyde (one of the most common indoor pollutants).



    Or reuse the old mattress - also because it is disposal of mattresses represents a category of bulky waste from which some components are recovered and others are transported to landfill - lining it with a good natural hypo-allergenic mattress cover: it will be a green and healthy choice!



    Sleeping green is a simple and safe choice: detoxifying your home and making it more sustainable means being in synergy with the environment and in harmony with your dreams.
