Living in the open, in a forest, without visually damaging the surrounding environment, using the energy provided by Nature. Impossible? No second Konrad Wójcik, architecture student and interior designer, who gave life to the project Single Pole House. What is it about?

The ultimate goal of his project is to create a community made up of this kind of houses, immersed in natural landscapes, avoiding massive deforestation on the one hand and reducing the carbon footprint of domestic life to zero on the other.

Any house, so imagined, could accommodate 2 to 4 people. To achieve it, trees do not need to be cut down but would be integrated into the free spaces offered by the forests. The houses of Wójcik take up more or less the space of a big man tree and they also remember its shape.

This gives the idea of the reduced invasiveness of buildings. Each house is distributed as follows: on the first floor there is an entrance, followed on the second by a large living area. On the third floor is the work area, then a possible study, and on the top floor, the sleeping area.

And i materials? The external structure is made of black zinc, 100% recyclable. Inside is located wood recovery both for the furniture and for some coverings. Finally, the windows and ventilation allow for mild temperatures in both the winter and summer months.

For his project, the Danish designer was not by chance inspired by “the functionality and structure of a tree“. explains: “Studying nature allowed me to have ideas and solutions to create one completely self-sufficient construction ". For most animals, trees are the best natural shelters against predators, humidity and weather.

And, according to Wójcik, they could be also for men.
