    According to the Beijing Meteorological Observatory, wind gusts in the Haidian and Shijingshan districts reached nearly 70 km / h.

    Large sandstorms occurred in April and March, causing air pollution levels to skyrocket. 

    Chen Tao, chief of forecasting at the National Meteorological Center, said: 

    The strong wind this year is closely related to the activity of the Mongolian cyclone. Cyclones in Mongolia are more frequent this year, which has a noticeable impact on northern parts of China.
