Removed Bansky's mice from the London Underground. The cleaners did not know they were the work of the street artist

Bansky's last opera to appear on the London Underground lasted only two days. The mice were removed by the cleaners

Bansky's last work, which appeared a few days ago in some carriages of the London underground, did not last long. The cleaners, not knowing that it was the latest work of the well-known street artist, removed all the graffiti.

On Tuesday, the well-known and mysterious Bansky shared a video on his Instagram profile in which he presented his latest street art work. A group of cheeky mice who did not respect the anti-coronavirus rules had appeared in some carriages of the Circle Line, between Baker Street and Euston.

Mice invade the London Underground. It is Bansky's latest work to target non-mask wearers

It's only been 2 days since then and they're already gone.  Transport for London (TFL) cleaners, very scrupulous in eliminating all kinds of graffiti from the subway cars, they also erased the mice, not aware of the fact that Bansky had created them, as reported to the BBC.

Cleaning was part of the "strict anti-graffiti policy ”of the London Underground. In fact, in the world of transport and by many commuters, they are considered as something that contributes to creating an unpleasant atmosphere, but few are able to see the artistic and provocative side.

However, it seems that the London Underground wants to do an exception for Bansky, especially considering that the work that featured the mice was a provocative way to invite everyone to wear masks and follow the anti-contagion rules.

In a note, the transport company said:

"We would like to offer Banksy the opportunity to make a new version of his message in a suitable place"

However, the doubt remains that Bansky knew exactly what his latest work was up to, having made it in the London underground, a place that does not admit the presence of graffiti. Wasn't this "cleaning" also part of the street artist's plan?
