THEasphalt it emits 27 kg of CO2 for every ton produced, absorbs heat and really contributes a lot to the increase in temperatures in cities and urbanized areas. Meanwhile, our plastic accumulations are increasing faster and faster.
A new idea for reusing plastic could therefore relate to its application on roads in a suitable form, in the hope that this system will be more environmentally friendly than asphalt.
What are the delivery times? advantages of the new plastic roads? According to the company offering the novelty, the recycled plastic roads they are lighter, reduce the load on the ground and make it easier to install cables below their surface.
The various parts can be prefabricated in a factory and then brought to the place where they are needed, reducing the need to build on site and at the same time shortening construction times.
Lighter materials can be transported more efficiently and furthermore the shorter duration of road works would lead to a containment of the traffic. Thanks to the recycled plastic both the laying of the covering on the street and the maintenance they would become much simpler.
