Once upon a time… Our grandmothers did not throw away old socks: even if they had holes in them they could act, for example, as rags. And who has never reused the last surviving saucer of that 10-year-old coffee set as a saucer? Or the containers of spray detergents for the home: once washed they can spray water on the most delicate plants, but also the dressing for ironing shirts. In short: a little imagination is enough and many objects (especially plastic, glass and canvas) can become something else, and continue to be useful to us under a new guise.
And if nothing ingenious comes to mind, as always, the internet can give you many ideas. For example the site bemoreeco.com gives several tips for recycling plastic containers. At least three of the most useful.
1- Once cleaned, we can let children play with old containers. One small, one medium and one large and the little one is ready to measure. Bring the other kitchen toys, such as your child's oven or toy pots, close to the real home kitchen, perhaps while you're busy preparing dinner, and that's it!
2- The old containers can still be used for freeze or store leftovers in the fridge. Especially for those who have little time available for lunch, it will be convenient to prepare the meal and then find it already done. One reheated in the microwave and lunch is served (in the "new" old container)!
3- The plastic, although old, is very resistant. For this you can continue to use for example to store pins, or everything you need for sewing.
