Two types of soy ice cream may contain lactose not declared on the label. For this reason the Ministry of Health has ordered the recall, since they could be dangerous if consumed by those who are intolerant or allergic.
The two products mentioned are marketed by Despar and belong to the Vital line. This is the vanilla soy ice cream variegated with chocolate e variegated with sour cherry.
Vincenzo Mancuso srl, based in Aragona (AG), in the San Benedetto district produces them for Despar. In both cases, the withdrawal concerns the 65 gr cup, with lot number LX229 and expiry date 17 August 2019.
According to the safety notice of the Ministry of Health, the presence of lactose not declared on the label was detected in the two products.
No problem if people who do not suffer from allergies consume it. The case of allergic or lactose intolerant subjects is different. In this case, taking ice cream could cause allergic reactions, even serious ones.
If you have purchased these ice creams and you are allergic or in case of a diet free of milk and derivatives, avoid consuming them and bring them back for an exchange or refund.
