Living in a house that produces more energy than it consumes you can. The project, conceived and built in Denmark, allows you to have an ultra-efficient home capable of capturing more energy than an average family of four needs to heat, light and use basic appliances.

La house in profit is equipped with a south-facing roof cover by solar panels e Photovoltaic cells. The former supply hot water to the radiant floor system while the 50m² of photovoltaic cells generate electricity. Thanks to computerized windows, which open and close as needed, the internal temperature is regulated and the energy demand to the system is optimized.

E when is the sun missing? (common in Denmark). An electric pump comes into operation, powered by both the cells and the Danish network depending on the sky coverage. In any case, a bright sun is not needed to obtain energy from the solar system, the light of a veiled day is enough.

For eight months of the year, therefore, the Photovoltaic cells they produce surplus energy which is sold to the grid and in the winter months the house buys electricity from renewable sources, supplied by the Danish grid.

The creators of the project have estimated that in about 30 years the excess electricity generated by the house will cancel the energy costs of building the building, ensuring itszero impact.

In addition to being efficient the active house is bella, comfortable e intelligent. Bella thanks to the large windows it is equipped with that make it very bright avoiding the unnecessary switching on of lamps and light bulbs. Comfortable as it is able to power 2 flat screen televisions and 1 washing machine without removing electricity from the lighting. Go beyond because it is connected to a computer connected to a thermostat that monitors the internal temperature. Based on the data collected by the latter, the computer opens and closes the windows taking into account the season, degrees and time of day.

Ed it is the house itself that recommends the best energy situation. If a window is opened in contrast with the centralized system readings, the house, after about an hour if necessary for saving purposes, will bring it back to the closed state.

The dream of living with zero emissions is an investment of £ 500.000 equal to approximately € 570.000,00 reveals Dr.sa Rikke Lildholdt director of the project. An expense still very high but, once it becomes a commercial product, the cost will be reduced to the equivalent of a three bedroom house.

More 9 profitable homes are currently under construction in Europe and if the idea has achieved tangible success under the gray skies of Denmark it will give excellent satisfaction in the warm Mediterranean sun.
