It is really true that prenatal life always reserves many surprises and science sometimes discovers new aspects relating to the 9 months spent in the belly. News in this regard comes from a study published in the journal Plos One.

A Finnish research team found that during pregnancy children not only they listen to music ma I am also able to learn it so much so that they can recognize it after birth. The study involved 24 women in the last trimester of pregnancy divided into two groups: 10 of them were asked to sing the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" aloud 5 times a week and the others not.

To see the effects of music on the little ones it was necessary measure their brain activity through the skin immediately after birth and 4 months later. What we wanted to establish was whether learning had occurred during the time spent listening to the song. The answer was yes, the learning was confirmed by the fact that the children to whom the melody was sung had a stronger brain activity when they were made to listen to the music they already knew again and even if they were varied some notes.

All this obviously did not happen to children who were born without having previously listened to the aforementioned song.

The research therefore concluded that babies who listen to music in the belly are able to remember it even after they are born!
