Polish the shoes with a banana peel

    Polish the shoes with a banana peel

    The relationship between shoes and banana peels has never been too idyllic. As sketches, jokes and idioms teach, in order to avoid "lapses of style" and attacks of collective hilarity, it is better to try not to bring these two elements into contact.

    Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

    Unless you want to safeguard your health and that of the planet. And use banana peels instead of polish to clean and shine your shoes.

    It is well known, in fact, that the normal polishes on the market are not only toxic but should be disposed of as dangerous materials because in most cases they contain naphtha and turpentine. Just read the precautions that you find behind the package, to realize that shoe polish is seriously harmful to health and the environment.

    The banana, on the other hand, is not: it can be safely swallowed, come into contact with the eyes and skin without running the risk of calling a doctor or being stained for weeks. And its peel contains oils and potassium that will not only make your shoes shine, but help preserve them from wear and atmospheric agents.

    How to clean shoes with a banana without harming health, the environment and reducing packaging waste to zero:

    1. Eat the banana;
    2. rub the inside of the peel against the surface of the shoe;
    3. polish with a soft cotton cloth;
    4. throw what remains of the peel in the special bucket for the "wet" (or if we really want to be impeccable, let's use it, chopped, as compost for our plants).
