With hidden cameras, the association has filmed everything that pigs are forced to endure: a sow is killed with a hammer. The pigs are moved constantly using the electric prod, even on a pregnant sow and on defenseless animals, unable to move.
Smaller piglets are kicked, grabbed by the ears and thrown. A sow close to farrowing is washed with a pressure washer aimed directly at the snout. The infiltrator also filmed hundreds of dead piglets, left outdoors and piled up in buckets, in defiance of the minimum sanitary standards.
“We have denounced those responsible and with a mobilization we ask the institutions to revoke the authorizations and order the closure of the farm. We believe that documented brutalities are unfortunately the practice within this company, as confirmed by some operators filmed while protesting for the treatment inflicted on animals ”, writes To Be Animals.

ATTENTION, STRONG IMAGES FOLLOW
The images were handed over to the competent authorities. For the association, the crime of killing animals (Article 544-bis of the Criminal Code) and mistreatment of animals (Article 544-ter of the Criminal Code) is clearly configured, as well as specific violations of the legislation on the protection of pigs
In addition to the complaint, the association has launched a collection of signatures that will be delivered to the Ancona Public Prosecutor's Office, the Marche Region Health Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health so that the farm can be closed urgently.
“Justice must take its course, which we hope will be short. But in the face of these shameful images, the institutions must send a signal. We ask that the breeding authorizations be revoked and for those guilty of similar cruelty, the ban from exercising the activity. In fact, today those convicted of maltreatment can still go back to raising or working with animals ".
It is not the first time that the association documents abuse and violence committed on pigs destined to become Parma Ham.
