The Draghi Government accelerates (finally) on ecological transition and aims to promote and support clean energy. Last week, the Minister for Public Administration, Renato Brunetta, announced in fact "a drastic simplification on the renewable energy front", which will be the subject of the decree that should be passed in the next few days. But there are already a number of benefits that you can take advantage of to install photovoltaic and solar panels in your home. Let's find out what it is.

Ecobonus (to install solar collectors)

The 65% Ecobonus tax deductions - confirmed in 2022 - also include the installation of solar collectors. These are devices that allow the sun's radiation to be converted back into heat and transferred to a thermal accumulator to produce hot water and therefore heat the rooms. An innovation that can save us a lot, which can prove to be very advantageous especially in these times.

The deduction is equal to 65% of the total expenses incurred, with a maximum limit of 60 thousand euros per property unit. The installation of solar thermal collectors for the production of domestic hot water for both domestic and industrial uses or for the hot water needs of swimming pools, sports facilities, nursing homes, schools and universities can be facilitated.

Renovation bonus

To install photovoltaic panels at subsidized costs, another alternative is the restructuring bonus. In this case, the personal income tax deduction is equal to 50% and covers both the supply and installation of the panels for a maximum total cost that cannot exceed 96 thousand euros per property. The benefit is reserved for those who carry out ordinary and extraordinary maintenance work, deciding to install photovoltaic panels to save energy. In this case, expenses up to December 2024 are allowed (for these expenses the 50% deduction must be divided into 10 annual installments of the same amount).

Super bonus 110%

Another option to get photovoltaic panels installed in an advantageous way is to take advantage of the Super bonus 110%. The bonus in question is paid in the form of a tax deduction of IRPEF equal to 110% to be spread over 5 years for a series of works and energy efficiency works in the home.

In order to take advantage of the facility, however, the work carried out on the house must lead to an improvement of at least two energy classes compared to the initial situation. As clarified by the Revenue Agency, for installation of the panels it is necessary to carry out the so-called "driving works" (for example thermal insulation, installation of the condensing boiler or heat pump).
