The photovoltaic from the balcony does not make us energetically independent but it helps against expensive bills. To increase the yield it is advisable to have a storage system (a battery). Who can take advantage of the same incentives reserved for panels
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him
Photovoltaic balcony panels help to reduce bills, but if you have a storage system (a battery) the yield increases. And yes, tax breaks can also be used to install such a device.
A balcony photovoltaic panel can simultaneously power a PC for about 2-3 hours, a TV, the vacuum cleaner for up to 30 minutes and 8 low consumption light bulbs with the typical installed power (1,2 kWh or 2,4 kWh) and the resulting energy accumulated on a full sunny day.
If you do not have a battery, there are some measures to increase its yield (southern exposure, of household appliances at noon and not in the evening). But having it is still preferable and also for the installation of the storage system you can take advantage of tax deductions equal to 50% usable in ten years.

As reported by the GSE, the storage systems can be installed on:
- incentivized solar photovoltaic systems;
- solar thermodynamic plants with incentives or which ask for the recognition of the incentives;
- plants powered by renewable sources other than photovoltaic incentives or which request the recognition of incentives, also as a replacement for the incentive scheme of Green Certificates;
- combined electricity and heat production plants consisting of units for which recognition of operation as High-Efficiency Cogeneration and / or recognition of White Certificates is required;
- plants powered by renewable sources which, as part of the Dedicated Withdrawal, access the minimum guaranteed prices in the event that the electricity is withdrawn by the GSE or is sold on the free market;
- production plants that access the Exchange on the spot;
- plants powered by renewable sources for which the issue of Guarantees of Origin is required
Within 60 days it is necessary communicate the successful installation against which incentives can be requested, granted by the GSE following its assessments.
But - and that's the good news - even installing the battery entitles you to same tax concessions (i.e. deduction equal to 50% usable in ten years) of the installation of the panels, as clarified by Circular no. 7 of 27/04/2018 of the Revenue Agency, where it states:
The installation of the storage system on a plant gives the right to the deduction both in the event that this installation is contextual or subsequent to that of the photovoltaic system, configuring, in these hypotheses, the storage system as an element functionally connected to the photovoltaic system same
If you have a small treasure aside (for a balcony photovoltaic system it is necessary to invest an average of 1500 euros, to which we should add the labor costs if we are not able to assemble it independently), it could really be the time to invest it.
