Peppino Celenza is only 12 years old but his ideas are very clear: on the occasion of his birthday he does not want to have games or other gifts from his classmates but intends to collect money for support the sterilization campaign of the 'Amici di Zampa' association. He then informs the parents of his intention so that, effectively, the donation to the Vasto kennel is made.
It is the child himself who explains, in writing, the reasons for his noble gesture.
“I'm Peppino Celenza and I'm a dog lover. The dog - she writes - has been my favorite animal since I was little, but now that I'm older I understand the importance of the dog in human life. Unfortunately my parents can't get me a dog, so I show my affection by going to the kennel from time to time.
On my 12th birthday, I decided not to have gifts, but to collect in my class to help sterilize the dogs in the kennel. It seems superficial, but unfortunately it isn't, because so many innocent puppies die for this reason.
I ask you, please, to donate even a small amount so that this does not happen. For each dog we need 15 euros ".
With simple words this child reminds us of the importance of sterilizing dogs, which is useful precisely to avoid that many defenseless puppies are brought into the world and then perhaps abandoned, killed or, at best, collected from the local kennel.
