The trio of characters is forming on the occasion of the Food Revolution Day, an event created by Jamie Oliver with the intention of involving children on the theme of food and healthy nutrition in a practical and fun way to enable them to make wise and healthy choices.
Sheeran wrote the lyrics for the song in collaboration with Oliver while the former Beatle took care of the music. The new song dedicated to healthy eating will be released worldwide in May.
The new song, for which Paul McCartney has just prepared the bass line, will become a real special anthem on the occasion of the Food Revolution Day, as Jamie Oliver explained. Paloma Faith and Chris Martin also collaborate on the music project.
The hope is that well-known musicians can draw the attention of both children and adults to the topic of healthy eating. In the song there would be references to the poorest populations in the world who manage to cook incredible dishes with very few resources.
The song will be published for free next 15 May, on the occasion of Food Revolution Day. Oliver also created a petition to ask the G20 countries to make food education a compulsory subject in every school. We hope that the initiative will be successful and that it helps to reflect on the need to eat healthily from an early age.
