Yesterday the Senate finally approved the Relaunch Decree, which officially became law. Among the confirmations also came that for aid to families and parental leave, extended until August 31st.
With 159 votes in favor, 121 against and no abstention, the Senate yesterday renewed its confidence in the Government by definitively approving the legislative decree n. 1874, of conversion into law of the decree-law n. 34 which had already obtained the green light from the Chamber.
Among other confirmations, in addition to the car and motorcycle bonus and the 110% eco-bonus for energy savings, there is also the one relating to extraordinary parental leave. As already mentioned, the contedo is up to the parents of children up to 12 years of age. The leave is equal to 30 days and can be used until August 31, with a salary of up to 50%, therefore one month more than previously foreseen.
In addition, the municipalities will have to use the additional 150 million allocated with the decree to organize and think about summer camps for children up to 3 years old and for the older ones. The age range was in fact changed from 3-14 years to 0-16 years.
"For the year 2020, starting from 5 March e until August 31, for a continuous or split period in any case not exceeding thirty days, ceach parent employed by the private sector has the right to take advantage, pursuant to paragraphs 10 and 11 of this article, for children under the age of twelve, without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph 5 of this article, of a specific leave, for which aallowance equal to 50 per cent of the salaryand, calculated in accordance with the provisions of article 23 of the consolidated text of the legislative provisions on the protection and support of maternity and paternity, pursuant to legislative decree no. 26, with the exception of paragraph 2001 of the same article ".
The text transformed into law also states that the leave periods must be used alternately by both cohabiting working parents and can be used daily or hourly, except in the leave periods already taken on the date of entry into force of the law. of conversion of the decree.
